The news announced to us by the companions of the Sudan Anarchist Rally on Saturday has been confirmed. The city of El Fasher, in Darfur province, besieged for ten months by the bloodthirsty Janjaweed militias of the Rapid Support Forces, fell yesterday.
Thousands of dead have been reported. Even if little information filters through, we can expect scenes of massacre and even genocide, as the Janjaweed militias are unfortunately accustomed to.
The Sudanese Anarchist Gathering has received no news of the anarchist companions trapped in the city (see https://cnt-ait.info/2025/04/16/el-fasher-ar)
By controlling El Fasher, the RSF will control all of Darfur, allowing them to move men and weapons from Chad and Libya. And they will gain control of important resources, such as gold…

« Today, under the eyes of the whole world, we witness the atrocity of the Sudanese war — how Sudanese people are being massacred in brutal ways by the Rapid Support Forces and the government.
Driven by authoritarian deals and the struggle to control the country’s wealth, with the fall of Al-Fashir and the extermination of the local population at the hands of the Janjaweed, Sudan opens a new chapter of a long-term war that could spread throughout the entire country. Either the fighting stops immediately, or we stand one step away from a full-scale civil war. Mercy and forgiveness for the martyrs of the resistance. »
