At the Mail sorting center in the town of Amiens, the SUD syndicate shows solidarity with the bosses.

For many years, the CNT-AIT syndical section of the mail Sorting center in Amiens has been, for the local post office authorities, "the enemy to beat." It could not be any other way : the CNT-AIT does not participate in collaboration between classes and carries out an activity with which "annoys" to a greet degree the development of flexibility and the spread of precariety.

After a series of threats (for example, in Nov.-Dic. of ’95, a management member of the company had threated the strikers with a knife, and the arbitary closing of the syndical offices, a CNT-AIT militant, known for his untiring militancy, was attacked by another member of the management.

Despite this, it was our militant who was condemend by the Post Office Disciplinary Council. It is worth knowing that in the Mail Sorting Centers, the representatives on this Council are SUD, the CGT, CFDT and FO. Previously they had all announced that they would refuse to form a court that would protect the bosses. Nevertheless, on 30th July 2001 they formed it. Two of them, CFDT and SUD went ever further (very much further for "syndicalists" !) and voted, together with the bosses, for a three month leave without pay for our comrade.

The SUD, which calls itself "Solidarious" (meaning, "showing solidarity") and Unitarian and Democratic, publically showed with whom it is "Solidarious" and "Unitarian" : with the bosses.

Their masks were removed in Amiens. Those who still dare to present the SUD as a "combatative, different and revolutionary" syndicate and other piffle are warned that we will not forget.

The posties at the centre had a far more dignified attitude than the SUD workers and those of the other institutional trade unions. As a sign of solidarity, twenty of them stood by our comrade during the "disciplinary investigation." We finish with the words of our comrade :"I feel that my adhesion to the CNT-AIT put me in the firing line to attack me, it also served to present a crackless defence which the other local trade unions are not willing to forget. Anarchosyndicalism can be at the same time an organisational means to destroy the class society and the best tool for the day-by-day defence of the workers."
